We all woke up early so we could go down stairs and eat breakfast that the hotel offered and it was really good. It was a buffet style with eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuts, Pancakes etc... We all got full and checked out of our room and wanted to stop at the local harley shop to get us a shirt and poker chips before we headed to port and check into the ship and get our cruise going.
We got our shirts and poker chips from Virgina Beach, VA and we headed to the port. It was so easy to get to where the parking lot was and they came out and unloaded our bags and took them to the big bus that would take us to the terminal to get checked in and board the ship.
We got to the terminal and had to wait maybe 30 minutes but it went really fast and smooth. We had to go through security and have our backpacks checked then we were put on the ship.
We finally got on the boat and waited for the elevator to take us to our room to put our backpacks in and then explore the ship. The rooms were not quit ready but they let us in them as they just had to get the Sign N Sail cards to open the doors. We got to meet Wendy, our stateroom stewart, she was very nice and always kept our room clean and fresh.

We got everything put away and met Missy and Jason and went and got some buffett food for the first of many times on this cruise. Below is pictures of Missy and Jason's room ours was just oppoosite of thiers but right next door to each other.
After eating in the lido deck, we explored more of the ship and decided that we were going to go to our rooms and unpack our clothes in the drawers and things and get tiddied up before going out to the main dinning room for the first time on the cruise. In the main dinning room I got steak and grilled chicken and it was really good. It was not busy either, it usually isn't the first night. Jason started not feeling very well, not sure if it was the hotel breakfast that morning or sea sickness.
We finally got to leave the port in Norfolk, VA. As we went outside to sit and lounge around on the chairs on deck. We were pulling out and we noticed that we were pulling back in to port for some reason. We finally got out to sea around 5:30 or 6. The reason we went back was they had an emergency and had to let someone off to go to the hospital.
We are headed to Celebration Keys and it was going to take us two days to get there so we were having two days at sea.
Jason wasn't getting any better so we decided to just retire to the rooms so he could rest. The boat was really rocking that may be what was his problem but not sure.
The night was fast fading away so we decided to go to the room and shower and turn in for the night. Hopefully tomorrow will be better for Jason.
Until Chapter 2 of our cruise.
