Day 1

We started out by going to work this morning before we were going to head to Lexington, Kentucky to watch our granddaughter, Ivory, and her dance team compete in the State Competition. Their dance team made it through the regions and now are in the State. They have worked hard for this.

We got to work at 8 Pm and we were going to get off at 4pm but decided to leave little early today so we could get to our pharmacy to get our medicine before heading out today. We got our meds and went home to get changed and our bags for our overnight stay in Lexington. We went and got gas after changing clothes and headed out.

We got to Lexington around 6:30 at our hotel, the Home 2 by Hylton, it was a real fancy hotel.

We decided that we were hungry so we went to try to find something. Everything was busy, so we decided to eat at Chick fa la, then we wanted to get something to snack on so we went to myiers to get cookies, Donuts, Muffins. I also got me a new Cincinnati Reds hat. We then came back to hotel and played some skyjo after we took our showers.

We got up and went to eat breakfast then we checked out of our hotel and one our way to goodwill, which has become one of our favorite places to go. Missy looks for Christmas stuff, I'm records and cd's.

After shopping we went and met up with Katelyn and the bunch at their hotel which was close to us as well. BUT our little princess was sick, Ember. She had been throwing up all night and wasn't feeling good at all. We decided that she didn't need to be there all day feeling bad so we brought her back to our house so she could rest and feel better.

We got her home and she rested allot and started feeling much better but she was still scared to eat anything and I understand that. Sooooooo, her sister was at the competition and they were doing hip hop and jazz. Her little team did a wonderful job and we found out that they won in Hip Hop and latter on we found out they won in jazz as well. They were the first in their school history to were double state champions. Congrats to Elkhorn Elementary School in their State Chapionship win.
